As you are probably aware, Steven Gerlock was instrumental in the purchase of a condominium for me at Skymark II last month and he also sold my townhome this week. To this end, I wish to make you aware of the many positives that resulted in a most successful experience for me, the client.

Eleven years ago Steve had acted on my behalf in selling my detached home on Sunnycrest Road and finding and acquiring my present location. He used the internet to advertise my home and he worked hard to find the townhouse listing. Then he negotiated a suitable purchasing price for me. At no time was he ever less than professional, yet he maintained an awareness of my need to fell that I was a human being and not just a commission or just a numbered sale on a monthly tally. For 2 years I too had been involved in retail sales of a commodity, until I was able to return to my profession of teaching, so I am aware of the competition in selling. While he was dealing with me his calm demeanor made the search and negotiation processes proceed with a minimum of stress. In short, I had a positive experience!

During the intervening years, I received his newsletters, annual calendar, the current marketing tools he was using and an occasion visit. Last year I advised him that I was thinking of a move but, I was not quite ready and he respected my need for a little more time.

Steve was available on November 14th. The day I first met with him, we signed an agreement to list my townhouse, sell it and find a condominium with his help and acting as my representative. It was all done very professionally, using paperwork established by OREA and the Toronto Real Estate Board. In order to promote my property, Steven held an open house for agents on Friday, Dec. 2nd and an open house for perspective buyers on Sunday, Dec. 4th. To his credit, he handled both himself, although he could have given either to Sheila or Leslie. We had extremely good traffic. By Monday morning Steve had called all the agents himself to remind them of the registration bidding date and times.

When the time came, he had 3 offers for me! Steven had spent Monday afternoon negotiating the best possible offers with all 3 agents. I heard all offers via each of the agents and really there were no bad offers. Each of the bidding agents thanked him for his expertise, leadership and professionalism during the proceedings. We closed with a sum beyond my asking price! I had gotten everything I had wanted or needed, all with the support of Steve! To say I am delighted with the outcome would be an understatement!

Neighours are still talking about the expert sale of my home. Family members have congratulated me on the skill and amazing results of the agents efforts. It has been a pleasure to work with Steve and I look forward to continued success with the remainder of the transactions we have yet to complete.

""What can I say? Steve is a “miracle worker" and that is what he is known as in our household.
